Commission Chair John L. Valentine called the Utah State Tax Commission meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. on Feb. 12, 2026. Chair Valentine opened the public comment period but no members of the public spoke during the allotted time.
The Commission completed routine business during the brief meeting: it approved prior meeting minutes, adopted a formal position on specified provisions of Third Substitute HB 22 concerning vintage vehicle program clarifications, and then adjourned. "Commission Chair Valentine adjourned the meeting at 9:10 a.m.," the meeting record states.
The minutes note the meeting was held via Zoom with in-person staff at 210 North 1950 West, Salt Lake City. The record was later approved and attested on March 12, 2026.
