Poulsbo planning commission introduces Joey Solar; City Council appointment set for Feb. 5

Joey Solar introduced herself to the Poulsbo Planning Commission as the departmentrecommended candidate to fill a commission seat. "My name is Joey Solar and I'm honored to express my interest in serving on the planning commission," she said, noting experience in commercial real estate, marina sales, zoning and economic-development projects.
Staff told the commission that the chair and co-chair met with Solar and forwarded the selection to the mayor; the appointment will be considered by City Council on Feb. 5. Solar said she wants to "preserve our past, secure open spaces, parks, gathering places" while helping the city manage imminent growth and support small business and housing solutions.
