Saginaw Township board unanimously hires three teachers for 2025–26 school year

The Saginaw Township Board of Education unanimously approved three certificated staff appointments for the 2025–26 school year during a special meeting on Sept. 8, 2025, at the Arrowwood Conference Center.
Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations Tienna Smith presented the Human Resources report. Under that report, the board approved the hire of Elizabeth Androl for White Pine Middle School, Caitlin Miller as an elementary traveling physical education teacher, and Chrystal Moniz for Heritage High School. Each motion was recorded as conditional "until the district administration receives and verifies to its satisfaction all of the required information and qualifications."
"Motion offered by Jenean Coughlin that the Board of Education employ Elizabeth Androl as a teacher beginning in the 2025-2026 school year," the minutes state; the motion was seconded by David Booth and adopted by roll-call vote. A separate motion from David Booth to hire Caitlin Miller was seconded by Jenean Coughlin and adopted; Michele DeShone moved the board employ Chrystal Moniz and Jenean Coughlin seconded that motion, which the board likewise adopted.
The minutes record the votes as "Yes: all. No: none." The board did not record individual member-by-member vote entries, but attendance at roll call lists five board members present and two absent. The district will complete routine verification of credentials and other required documentation before each appointment becomes final.
