The Calvert County Blueprint Committee met March 5 and heard from Dr. Marcy Gruver and district partners about progress implementing the five-pillar education blueprint. Dr. Gruver said the district has moved from writing the plan to executing it, with implementation teams formed to align strategies to the Calvert County Public Schools strategic plan and to coordinate work across pillars.
Brett Lane, the district's strategic partner, described a pilot implementation study visiting four schools to document teaming structures, professional learning and tiered systems of support. "Collaborative teacher teams are essential," Lane said, adding that teams that use protocols and shared planning are more likely to sustain high-quality instruction. Committee members praised the presentation and asked for continued updates as teams formalize roles and scale practices across the district.
