The City of Littlefield City Council approved routine business items at the Feb. 24, 2026 regular meeting, including the minutes from the Jan. 27, 2026 meeting, monthly departmental reports and January 2026 expenses. Mayor Pro Tempore Kenny Rucker moved to approve the minutes; Council Member Buddy Holmes seconded and the motion passed with 4 ayes and 1 absent.
Council Member Buddy Holmes later moved to accept the monthly departmental and financial reports covering police, fire, EMS, code enforcement, landfill, water/wastewater, streets and parks, municipal court, the aquatic center and EDC minutes; Council Member Eric Saenz seconded and the motion again passed with 4 ayes and 1 absent. Council Member Kenny Rucker moved to approve the January expenses; Buddy Holmes seconded and the motion passed with the same tally. These approvals clear the routine operational matters before the council so it could proceed to ordinance and resolution items.
