Pontiac board approves agenda, consent items and routine minutes

The Pontiac City School District Board of Education opened its March 9 regular meeting with roll call and then approved the meeting agenda. Trustee G. Kevin Gross moved the agenda approval and Trustee Marcus Terry seconded; the minutes record the motion as carried with recorded ayes from Trustees Davis-Smith, Dooley, Gross, Hannah, Miller and Terry.
Under the consent agenda the board approved previously prepared minutes: closed session minutes from Feb. 23, 2026; regular board meeting minutes from Feb. 23, 2026; and special board meeting minutes from Feb. 25, 2026. Trustee Gross moved to approve the consent agenda and Trustee Terry supported the motion; the recorded vote was unanimous among members present.
These routine approvals were recorded as standard board actions and required no recorded amendments in the minutes provided.
