Manager Moyer requested authorization to sign notices of assignment, execute pay‑now/wire payments of $392,000 to the 1031 exchange agent and $17,500 to Grand County Sweetwater LLC, and to pay a $5,850 transfer fee to the irrigated‑land company. Commissioners approved authorizing the chair to sign notices and allowed the manager to execute the assignment of lease post‑closing so the county may sublease the shares back to the Grand County Mutual Ditch and Reservoir Company. "Total cost through ORT that you've already approved is 409,500," the manager told the board as he laid out the steps.
The board also authorized the county manager to execute the assignment of lease after the closing and directed staff to ensure all deeds, signatures and escrow instructions are completed to match the 1031 exchange schedule. Closing was anticipated later in the week and staff thanked county counsel and finance for assistance preparing documents.
