David Buckley of Grand County Road & Bridge requested the board authorize the chair to sign an intergovernmental agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation to treat noxious weeds in state rights‑of‑way that interface with county roads for fiscal year 2026 (07/01/2025–06/30/2026). Buckley described it as essentially the same agreement used the prior two years and said the cost for the year would not exceed $22,700.
Commissioners asked for clarification on how CDOT reports mileage and whether the county's accounting considered both roadway directions when CDOT lists mileage; Buckley agreed to have the natural resources foreman follow up with detailed mileage clarification. A commissioner recommended approval subject to verification and any edits to section A; the motion to approve and authorize signature (or DocuSign/stamp after county attorney review) carried on voice vote.
"It's essentially the same agreement we've had in place with them for the last 2 years," Buckley told the board when presenting the item. Staff will provide the mileage clarification and any edits before final execution.
