Alina Bell, an accounting official, told commissioners that “this week's batch of vouchers is $1,111,419.71,” itemizing major disbursements including roughly $826,000 that the clerk and recorder will disperse to other local governments, $180,000 for the tourism board monthly marketing and small grants, and $20,700 to GMCO Corporation for magnesium chloride used in road stabilization.
A commissioner moved to approve the vouchers and wire payments for Grand County and related entities; commissioners voted in favor and authorized releasing the funds. Chair noted the total is large but that much of it is outgoing payments to other agencies. The approval covered payments dated for release on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Separately during administrative business the board approved a motion to close county buildings at 4 p.m. on July 17 for an employee picnic; staff were directed to post notice of the closure. No dissent was recorded on the motions.
