Lockney council authorizes CDBG application and designates signatories

The Lockney City Council voted to move forward with an application to the Texas Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program through the Texas Department of Agriculture. Dart Carthel moved to submit the application and Donnie McLaughlin seconded; the council approved the resolution unanimously.
The council also passed a separate resolution designating City Manager Buster Poling and Mayor Steve Wright as authorized signatories on documents related to the CDBG program. That vote was unanimous as well. No project budget or specific scope was negotiated at this meeting; staff will prepare application materials.
