Trent Woods reports 54% tax collection, parade, park and maintenance updates

Town staff briefed the Board on a slate of routine operational items at the Dec. 4 meeting. Finance Officer Brenda Reece reported that as of Nov. 30 the town had collected 54% of its 2025 property taxes and recorded a $900 rebate from Bank of America credit card transactions. Town Clerk Holly Willis, relaying information for Chief Oglesby, reminded residents that residential security checks are available for those traveling over the holidays and noted the Trent Woods Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 7 at 2:00 p.m.
Maintenance and Zoning Supervisor Rich Schreiber reported the town mower was sold on GovDeals, the gate at Cottle Park is installed and working, a new edger has been installed for sidewalk edging, and a shade cover for Meadows Park is in production with installation expected in about 4–8 weeks. Schreiber said he is coordinating with the Department of Transportation to remove tree debris after a fallen tree on Forest Drive.
