Trent Woods approves $48,467 in change orders for Carteret-Coquina stormwater project

At its Dec. 4 meeting, the Trent Woods Board of Commissioners approved two change orders totaling $48,467 for the Stormwater Improvement Project in the Carteret-Coquina area. Commissioner Dan Murphy moved to approve Change Order #1 in the amount of $22,601 and Change Order #2 in the amount of $25,866; Commissioner Shane Turney seconded and both were approved unanimously.
Finance Officer Brenda Reece told the Board the Golden Leaf funds would be used to pay for the change orders and that the project is not currently over budget. Jim Gower asked for an explanation of the change orders and Mayor Chuck Tyson provided a summary of the additional work.
