Residents petition Trent Woods to lower speed limits on Colleton Way neighborhood

Ed Taggart of 1012 Colleton Way, speaking for residents of Colleton Way, Alexander Lane and Grenville Court, presented a signed petition with 41 signatures asking the Town of Trent Woods Board of Commissioners to reduce speed limits on those three town-owned streets. He said the streets are narrow and have a large population of children, and the board agreed the item should be discussed further.
Chief of Police David Oglesby told the board the request was warranted given the conditions described by residents. Commissioners asked that the petition and related questions be added to the March Board of Commissioners agenda so the neighborhood can provide additional input and the town can consider options for speed limits and signage.
