Council awards Nelson Park stormwater retrofit contract to low bidder

"This is the West Palsbo stormwater retrofit project... a grant funded stormwater project with the goal of enhancing water quality to Liberty Bay," Charlie told council during the presentation. Council then voted to award the construction contract to Vette Industrial and authorized the mayor to execute the contract and approve change orders up to 10% of contract value.
Staff said the bids came in favorable and the budget includes contingency and construction management costs. The award moves the project toward construction within the budget described in staff materials.
