Summary

Fair coordinator Rianne Pesch told the board Colorado Jumps provided a certificate of insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate but has been unable to secure the county's additional $200,000 requirement.
Staff asked the board to waive the supplemental $200,000 requirement to allow the vendor to proceed. The chair asked for a motion and the board approved an amended motion authorizing the chair and the county manager to sign the contract and, if necessary, to stamp the chair's signature outside the meeting when the updated contract is ready.
Pesch also outlined the fair schedule — dog show, kickoff Aug. 5, Queen's barrel race Aug. 6, goat roping Aug. 7, super horse and rodeo events Aug. 9 — and invited commissioners to attend. Commissioners thanked staff and approved contract signature authority.
