Board approves leaves, hiring and substitutes for 2025–26
Summary

On the superintendent’s recommendation the board approved several personnel actions at the March 9 meeting. The board approved unpaid maternity leave for Markie Tarleton beginning March 9, 2026 for the remainder of the school year; approved Anna Debolt as a preferred teacher substitute retroactive to Feb. 23, 2026 at $115 per day; and approved one-year limited contracts for Kayla Cromley (educational aide) and Dan Kinsey (bus floater) with 90-day probationary periods pending credentialing.
The board also approved up to 30 extended service days for Jasmine Russell, use of district buses for YMCA summer programming with costs charged to the YMCA, and approved Lily Specht as a student teacher for 2026–27 with assigned mentors. The meeting concluded with approval of classified substitute appointments (including Cynthia Huyghe and Mike Slorgie retroactive to March 2, 2026). The votes recorded indicate the motions carried on roll-call.
