Treasurer Kim Beckley presented the February financial presentation, after which the board approved a slate of treasurer-recommended items on a single motion. Mrs. Host moved and Ms. Campbell seconded the approvals; roll-call vote was unanimous.
Among the approved items was a resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Tuscarawas County Budget Commission and authorizing corresponding tax levies. The resolution listed levy lines and amounts in the meeting materials: Permanent Improvement 4.2 mills ($1,241,000); Current Expense (General) 20.5 mills ($5,300,000); Permanent Improvement 2.0 mills ($476,000); and Current Expense (General) 3.0 mills ($783,000). The board recorded a roll-call vote of yes by Mrs. Host, Ms. Campbell, Mrs. Grandison, Mr. Peters, and Mrs. Wolf; the motion carried.
The board also approved payment of bills for February and minutes from prior meetings, and passed resolutions to participate in and request assistance from the Ohio School Boards Association Legal Assistance Fund as presented.
