Claymont board authorizes appeal over disputed 4.2-mill inside millage reallocation

The resolution instructs counsel to file the appeal unless the Commission acknowledges the reallocation by March 1, 2026.

The resolution as recorded in the minutes states, “The Board hereby authorizes legal counsel to file an appeal on its behalf in the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals from the February 9, 2026 decision of the Tuscarawas County Budget Commission … in which the Commission failed to acknowledge the Board’s April 14, 2025 reallocation of 4.2 mills of inside millage for permanent improvements, unless the Commission takes action on or before March 1, 2026 acknowledging the Board’s April 14, 2025 reallocation of its 4.2 mills of inside millage.”
