Todd County commissioners on March 18 approved three public-works construction contracts for 2025, covering gravel surfacing, dust control and pavement markings.
Public works staff recommended awarding the 2025 gravel surfacing contract to Swenson Aggregate Construction LLC of Pine River, Minn., on a low bid of $290,587.00; a dust-control contract to Knife River Corporation of Sauk Rapids for $118,565.29; and a pavement-marking contract to Sir Lines A Lot LLC of Edina for $167,555.04. Chair called for motions on each item, and the board approved them by voice votes.
"The 1st 1 being a request to award a construction contract for a 2025 gravel surfacing construction projects...based on a low bid of $290,587.00," the public-works presenter summarized during the meeting. The presenter also noted the dust-control and pavement-marking bids as the low submissions.
Commissioners asked routine questions about mileage estimates and bid comparisons but recorded no substantive objections. The board then moved to the next agenda items.
What happens next: Contracts will be executed and work scheduled with county staff coordinating construction timing and project oversight.
