At a Feb. 8 ordinance workshop, the City of Lometa council agreed to prepare revisions to its existing Noise Ordinance (Ordinance No. 072098) and to place a draft, Ordinance No. 072098-A, on the March agenda for review, consideration and possible approval.
Council members reviewed noise ordinances from surrounding jurisdictions and decided the Lometa draft should be similar to the City of Burnet's rules. The minutes record that "Ordinance No. 072098-A will be on the March Agenda to review, consider, and take action for approval." The council did not adopt the revised ordinance at the workshop; the draft will return to the council for formal consideration in March.
