Poulsbo City Council approved two Rotary-related items on Feb. 19: authorization for a liquor license for the Poulsbo Rotary Viking Tour/Brew Fest and an MOU to support construction of a pavilion at Rotary Morrow Park.
Rotary representatives described the Brew Fest as a long-running fundraiser (about nine years in its current form) that has supported local causes and attracted several hundred participants. Council moved and approved authorization for the event’s liquor license.
Rotary representatives also presented a pavilion project at Rotary Morrow Park supported by a district Rotary grant (about $5,000) and a roughly $4,000 city contribution; council moved to authorize the mayor to sign the MOU and approved that item. Rotary said the pavilion work is tentatively timed for a community ribbon cutting on April 19, and the Brew Fest is planned for May 24.
