Board signs Kent State MOU, OSBA membership and technology contracts

The Claymont City School District Board approved multiple agreements Jan. 12, including a Memorandum of Understanding with Kent State University for College Credit Plus for the 2026–2027 school year and the district’s 2026 membership in the Ohio School Boards Association at a cost of $8,398. The board also approved an OME-RESA internet services contract using E-Rate funding, a Congruex contract for fiber removal and set-up to the central office, and a Laketec contract for UPS unit services using E-Rate.
The superintendent presented the items as part of the superintendent’s recommendations; the package was moved by Mrs. Grandison and seconded by Ms. Campbell and approved on a unanimous roll-call vote. The OSBA membership fee was recorded at $8,398 in the motion language.
