The Claymont City School District Board of Education voted unanimously Jan. 12 to approve the December 2025 financial report, payment of bills and the minutes of meetings held Dec. 8 and Dec. 17, 2025. Treasurer Kim Beckley presented the district’s December financial review prior to the vote.
The board also accepted a $5,000 donation from the Uhrichsville Eagles to benefit the Intermediate School's "Girls with Pearls" program. The motion to approve the treasurer’s recommendations was moved by Mrs. Host and seconded by Mr. Peters and passed on a 5–0 roll-call vote (Ms. Campbell, Mrs. Grandison, Mrs. Host, Mr. Peters and Mrs. Wolf voting yes).
The approvals maintain the district’s conventional month-end accounting and preserve the board’s stated budget posture heading into the second half of the school year. There were no conditions attached to the donation; the board recorded acceptance as part of the Treasurer’s package.
