Harrison council approves routine measures, schedules special meeting on Nyrop land purchase

The Harrison City Council on Feb. 10 approved a package of routine measures including payment of January bills and approval of meeting minutes, a 2026 liquor license for Harrison Haus Ventures LLC, committee appointments and procedural actions on permitting and franchise agreements.
Council set an encroachment permit and fee, approved a Ziply Fiber franchise agreement contingent on Ziply completing the encroachment application and paying the required fee, and voted to table the 2025 Comprehensive Plan and the Nyrop Land Purchase Agreement. A special meeting was announced for Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026 to consider the Nyrop agreement.
Motions were recorded by name: Will Butler moved to approve the consent calendar, TJ Byrne seconded; TJ Byrne moved to set the encroachment permit and fee, seconded by Josephine Prophet; Josephine Prophet moved to approve the Harrison Haus Ventures LLC liquor license, seconded by TJ Byrne. All of those motions were recorded with unanimous AYE votes in the minutes unless otherwise noted. The clerk reported the Local Option Tax balance at $25,813.95.
