Two residents offered to fill a vacant seat on the Log Cabin Planning & Zoning Commission during the Aug. 14 meeting.
Joe Clark of Alamo Road said he would be willing to serve on the commission and described a background in construction and familiarity with building permits. Chris Martin reiterated his interest and told commissioners he has “fresh ideas,” arguing he can contribute new perspectives. Chair Renee Sutherland thanked both applicants but the commission did not take a vote or make an appointment at the meeting; the vacancy remains open.
The offers came under Action Item A, during which commissioners listened to applicants’ backgrounds and availability. No formal application deadline or selection timeline was announced during the meeting. The next P&Z meeting record shows the commission approved these minutes and continued work on other agenda items.
