The Carneys Point Township Committee approved routine vouchers totaling $141,642.13 and unanimously approved minutes from the March 18 meeting. The Committee adopted Ordinance 1087 to exceed municipal budget appropriation limits (CAP bank) to allow a 3.5% appropriation increase and set the municipal budget process toward final reading and adoption on April 15.
Several resolutions passed by unanimous vote: 2026-78 (a $625.00 tax payment credit aggregated across several years), 2026-79 (an agreement to form a Joint Municipal Court with Pennsville and Penns Grove), 2026-80 (changing Amy Stanley from part-time to full-time Construction Clerk), 2026-81 (awarding a contract to Landberg Construction LLC for North Miller Ave. roadway improvements), 2026-82 (appointing Xavia Liles and Mark Forsman as part-time crossing guards and Carol Forsman as a fill-in), and 2026-83 (NJDOT LTPF award-extension authorization for bus-shelter/storm-sewer improvements). Resolution 2026-75 to recognize Juneteenth as a municipal holiday passed on a 3–2 vote with Mr. Brown and Mayor Bomba voting no.
