The Carneys Point Township Committee on April 15 unanimously adopted the 2026 municipal budget after allowing it to be read by title only and completing a self-examination. "Motion to adopt the 2026 Municipal Budget was made by Mr. Brown, seconded by Mrs. Martin and a unanimous roll call vote was taken," the minutes record.
The committee also approved departmental reports, a compensation‑time report and audited vouchers totaling $247,893.30. During departmental reporting, Police Chief D. VanNamee and Engineer S. Cosaboon provided updates on recent incidents and roadway projects; Cosaboon noted the NJDOT 2024 North Miller Ave contract was awarded to Landberg Construction LLC and that bids for the 2025 NJDOT projects (Ives Ave and Del‑A‑Vue Ave) will open May 13. The committee voted on routine financial and administrative items before returning to other agenda business.
