President Nicole Adams convened the Lubbock County WCID No. 1 board on Aug. 13, 2024, for a demonstration of Flock Safety surveillance options. Cameron Lewis presented camera and license-plate-reader (LPR) configurations and walked directors through claimed operational benefits such as real-time alerts, historical-plate data and integration with law-enforcement hotlists.
Director Joel Prock moved to discuss and consider pricing after the demonstration; Director Doug Parsley seconded. The board voted on the motion and elected to table the item for further review rather than approve a procurement at the meeting. No dollar amount or purchase commitment was recorded in the minutes.
