Director reports AARP tax help oversubscribed; health district to run pop-up clinics at Senior Center

At the March 31 meeting, Carrie Concatelli, Bolton's Director of Senior and Social Services, reported that local AARP tax-preparation assistance at the Senior Center has been oversubscribed this season and that some seniors were turned away because appointment slots were full. "the free AARP free tax preparation is in very high demand," Concatelli said.
Concatelli added that in February a speaker visited the center to highlight stroke awareness. She said the health district will visit the Senior Center with pop-up clinics to take blood pressures and answer health questions, a step the commission welcomed as part of routine outreach to older residents.
