City Engineer Branden Anderson presented the recommended award for the 2025 Sewer Rehabilitation Project based on the April 2024 Sewer Master Plan identifying high‑priority maintenance sections. After evaluating three bids, staff recommended Noland & Son Construction Co. Inc.; Anderson said the contract amount is "$2,616,247.00" and that the work is scheduled for completion by May 2026. The Council suspended the rules and unanimously approved Resolution No. 2025-R-45 to proceed.
Council discussed coordination with utility companies, and Anderson said the city maintains buffer spacing and places sewer lines below gas lines for safety. The contract will be paid from bond proceeds set aside for sewer infrastructure improvements, and staff will return with construction schedules and public-notice plans for affected streets.
