Police report: 6,000 fentanyl pills seized; suspect with felony warrants arrested

At the start of the regular meeting Chief April Morse delivered the Unified Police Department precinct report and detailed officer activity in August. "During the month of August officers responded to 2,471 calls resulting in 777 cases and right now they are sitting at 231 citations issued," she said. Morse highlighted a high-risk stop that led to the apprehension of a man with felony warrants and described detectives’ work on a drug distribution investigation that resulted in "seizure of over 6,000 fentanyl pills and $21,000 dollars in US currency."
Morse also introduced Lieutenant Rich Wilson as the new Executive Officer for the Midvale Precinct and noted coordination with neighboring departments in response to the Tremonton officer fatalities; several Midvale officers attended funerals. The Council accepted the report for information; no formal action was taken.
