Six Buna ISD teachers receive TEA Teacher Incentive Allotment designation; TEA validation due in April

The Buna ISD Board acknowledged that six district teachers — Skylar Burks, Janna Castle, Bonnie St. Cyr, Amanda Mayes, Amanda Page and Jill Stanley — received Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designations from the Texas Education Agency for the 2024–2025 school year. Assistant Superintendent Kelley Peck presented the 2024–2025 Texas Academic Performance Report and staff recognitions prior to the meeting.
The board minutes state that “A Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) designation is a significant achievement and a true reflection of educator impact in the classroom,” and that TEA will complete the validation process in April. No individual stipend or dollar amounts were recorded in the minutes for these designations.
