Stand down at YH Thomas served 130-plus veterans and connected some to treatment, emcee says

City leaders and partner groups — including the Hampton VA Medical Center, Salvation Army, VFW posts and local churches — were publicly thanked for staffing the event. A representative of the YH Thomas Community Center (identified in remarks) thanked organizers and volunteers and said the center hoped to host another stand down the following year.
