On Jan. 12, 2026, the Policy Committee of the Board of Education for Sesser-Valier Community Unit School District No. 196 met at 7:28 p.m. in the Sesser-Valier High School Library. District Superintendent Jason Henry summarized recommended modifications to the district's policy manual and said the packet included legal compliance updates, substantive changes, and non-substantive rewrites covering forty (40) board policies.
The committee reviewed the proposed changes and, by unanimous consent of members present, agreed to recommend the revised policies to the full board for approval at its regular February 2026 meeting. The minutes record committee members Dilliner, Kelly and Rounds present, Garner absent; staff present included J. Henry, K. Jones and N. Page. The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
