Drainage and sewer lining included among Sesser-Valier fire-safety needs

During the Dec. 8 public hearing, Superintendent J. Henry identified site drainage improvements and sewer drain lining as proposed safety-related repairs to be funded in part by the Fire Prevention and Safety tax fund. He presented the two projects together with gym remodeling and entry-door/window work as the district's prioritized items.
Henry told the hearing that "there are not sufficient funds available in the fire prevention and safety fund to finance the repairs needed, thereby necessitating the levy amount." No visitors offered comment; the hearing was closed and the minutes certified.
