Gym remodeling listed among Sesser-Valier fire-safety projects

Henry said the district proposes a gym remodeling project to be funded in part by Fire Prevention and Safety tax money. He specified floor refinishing, replacement of bleachers and associated painting, gym equipment and door replacement as parts of the planned work.
Henry emphasized the funding gap: "There are not sufficient funds available in the fire prevention and safety fund to finance the repairs needed, thereby necessitating the levy amount." The hearing drew no public comment and closed at 5:57 PM.
