Earl Foster, board president, called the Jan. 12, 2026, meeting of the Burnet Consolidated I.S.D. Board of Trustees to order at 6:01 p.m. and the trustees immediately took up a personnel item to add a temporary administrative position.
A motion by Angela Moore, vice president, seconded by Katy Duke approved a new interim elementary assistant principal position for the 2025–2026 school year only. The board recorded votes as follows: Foster — yes; Moore — yes; Kincaid — yes; Bennett — absent; Duke — yes; Behrens — yes; Brown — yes. The motion carried (6 yes, 0 no, 1 absent). The agenda lists Gilmore as the presenter for the item.
Board members did not record any amendments to the motion during the discussion and there is no record in the minutes of a separate hiring decision; the action approved only the position for the remainder of the current school year. The Facilities Advisory Committee report listed later on the agenda was pulled and will return to a future meeting, according to the minutes.
The meeting adjourned at 6:04 p.m. Minutes were submitted by Catherine Ullricn and show an approval date of Jan. 19, 2026.
