The Lubbock County WCID No. 1 Board of Directors voted Oct. 8 to accept the resignation of Board President Nicole Adams and to hold a special meeting on Nov. 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. to interview candidates for the Precinct 4 seat. Director Joel Prock made the motion to accept the resignation and Director Kade Garner seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Board materials included the resignation letter and a staff note that, historically, the board has interviewed applicants and selected a replacement. The board did not appoint an interim or name candidates at the Oct. 8 meeting; the special meeting on Nov. 7 is the next procedural step.
