The Lubbock County WCID No. 1 board voted to change the rates applied to future lot leases when a property is sold with improvements. The approved schedule sets lakefront properties at $2,500, Lower Canyon off-water lots at $2,000 and Upper Canyon lots at $1,750 for future leases when improvements are sold.
Director Joel Prock moved the change and Director Doug Parsley seconded. The posted minutes record Director Janette Barcenas voting Aye and Director Kade Garner abstaining; the motion passed three to one. The minutes do not specify when the new rates take effect beyond stating they apply to future lot leases upon sale of improvements.
