The motion was moved by Trustee Jones and seconded by Trustee Hicks; the minutes show a unanimous vote (6-0-0).
The resolution states that the board finds a public purpose for the payments and authorizes the superintendent "to pay all employees full compensation for the days missed due to the severe winter weather and that are not made up on any revised school calendar." The minutes also authorize premium pay for nonexempt employees who were required to report to facilities during the closure, at one-and-one-half times the regular rate, subject to applicable law.
