Council approves Midvalley Sewer District boundary change affecting 16 parcels

Midvalley Sewer District representatives and city staff asked the council to approve a boundary-line adjustment that would remove 16 parcels from the Cottonwood Improvement District and add them to the Midvalley Sewer District. Branden Anderson said the district "has taken steps to adjust the boundary of their district to better reflect the area in which they provide services," and that the change will adjust fees and taxes but not the service itself.
The council voted to suspend the rules and approve Resolution No. 2025-R-60. The motion passed by roll call vote with Council Members Paul Glover, Heidi Robinson, Bryant Brown and Denece Mikolash recorded as "Aye" and Council Member Bonnie Billings noted as absent. Staff said Midvale is the final city needed to approve the resolution and the district has asked for an expedited approval to meet the Lieutenant Governor’s Office requirement for municipal consent.
