Mayor Lori Landin called the Budget Workshop/Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and led a review of the proposed budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year.
Council members and city staff discussed the administration’s proposed spending plan in workshop format; the minutes note the budget discussion was informational and that no formal motion was made on the budget during the session. Present at the meeting were Aldermen Earlene Rampy, Cheryl Birdwell, Janet Peterson-Gonzales, Rhonda Cypert and Hilda Castillo, City Manager Michael Chambers, City Secretary Lisa Hernandez and Utility/Court Clerk Isabel Salazar.
The workshop did not record a vote or formal action on the budget. The council proceeded to other agenda items, including an administrative action regarding the Fire Fund bank account and a brief announcement before adjourning at 6:57 p.m.
