Resident urges city action after derelict buildings damage neighboring roof

Tammy Wilking told the Lorenzo City Council during public comment that derelict buildings adjacent to her property have shifted and damaged her roof and wall after a prior fire.
"I have drone pictures of the two left in between and their roofs are worse and with this last building that came down that arch way has pushed into my building and shifted my wall and now I have really bad roof problems on my building," Wilking said. She said a local man named Lars has offered to help clean up the properties but, in her view, the city has not acted.
Mayor Lori Landin thanked Wilking for speaking; no council action was recorded on the item during this meeting. The comment was registered as part of the public comment period and the council did not vote to initiate immediate remediation at the meeting.
The allegation raises a property condition and public-safety concern for the affected block; Wilking said she provided drone photos as documentation. The council’s minutes record the comment and no further official direction or motion about the specific structures was recorded; council members may take the matter up in a future agenda item if follow-up is requested.
