Council approves $10,000 amendment to Uplift Midvale interlocal agreement

"Uplift Midvale brings together city officials, community stakeholders, and residents to build a safer and more supportive environment for youth aged 6–25," Guevara said, describing the coalition’s use of the Communities That Care framework and plans to move from planning into broader implementation in 2026. The amendment raises the program’s revised total budget to $1,135,000 and continues funding through June 30, 2027, maintaining annual support for positions including the coalition coordinator and a community violence epidemiologist.
Council Member Heidi Robinson moved to approve Resolution No. 2025‑R‑53; Council Member Paul Glover seconded, and a roll call vote recorded four ayes, one absent, passing the measure unanimously. The council reviewed the amendment as a reinforcement of the county’s commitment to prevention and youth development work in Midvale.
The resolution does not change program structure beyond the added Year‑4 funding and the council did not attach new directives to staff during the meeting.
