Surgoinsville board reviews June finances and acknowledges conditional FY2026 approval

City Recorder Megan Gentry presented the Summary Financial Statement for all funds for June 2025 at the July 14 meeting of the Surgoinsville Board of Mayor and Aldermen. The board received the report for review; no line‑item amendments were recorded during the meeting.
The board also acknowledged a letter from the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury stating the town's FY2026 budget is conditionally approved. Vice‑Mayor Jarnagin moved to acknowledge the Comptroller's correspondence and the motion passed unanimously. The acknowledgement does not change the conditional status noted by the Comptroller.
