Teachers demonstrate Anatomage tables in brief hands-on session

Administrators and teachers brought Anatomage tables to the board meeting for a brief hands-on demonstration; board members toured tables and took turns acting as students to view the instructional technology.

An administrator introduced teachers Shelly and Adrian and described the push to use special education funds and other resources to acquire the technology. The administrator told the board the idea began last spring and said, "The Anatomage tables, you know, we it was last spring that we started hatching the idea that we might be capable ... through some other resources that were given to the district, special use money." Board members reacted positively: one member said the technology was "very, very cool," and another compared the experience favorably to college cadaver labs, noting the value for student learning and sensitivity to human subjects.

Teachers split attendees into two groups for 10-minute rotations at each table and encouraged administrators to observe. Board members later recommended showing the technology to community audiences and praised the way teachers connected the tools to student learning.
