City manager reports Nazarene Church lease, senior center repairs and July 4 plans

City Manager Aldo Gallegos updated the council on facilities and event planning at the Jan. 28 meeting. He said The Nazarene Church has officially taken over the lease but move-in remains incomplete and outstanding issues need resolution, and he reported that plumbing repairs are underway at the senior center and the old gym.
Gallegos also notified the council that the city's July 4th celebration will be held Friday, July 3, 2026. No motion or vote was required for the manager's report; the council moved on to scheduled agenda business after the update.
