The Burton City Council on Dec. 10 approved the City of Burton’s 2025 paid holiday schedule, which follows federal and TMLIRP guidance. The listed paid holidays include New Year’s Day (Jan. 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 20), Juneteenth (June 19), Independence Day (July 3 observance) and other standard dates through New Year’s Eve.
The motion to approve the holiday schedule was made by Councilmember Jeff Eckhardt and seconded by Councilmember Macey Tidwell; the motion passed with no recorded opposition. The adopted schedule will guide city payroll and office closures for 2025.
