Coliseum Central outlines annual award winners, urges preservation of Greenman House

Elizabeth McCrory (S16), executive director of the Coliseum Central Business Improvement District, presented the BID's annual award winners and thanked the city manager for attending the board meeting. She said Deborah Flores of Sentara CarePlex received Business Person of the Year and Nina Stickles was Volunteer of the Year; Peninsula Town Center received the Keep Coliseum Central Beautiful Award and the Orchid Award, while McDermott and Ward Attorneys at Law received the Metamorphosis Award for most improved property.
McCrory urged the council, as it reviews capital improvement projects, to keep the Greenman House and Coliseum Central master-plan items on the list. "As you consider the capital improvement projects, we hope you will keep the Greenman House as well as the other Coliseum Central master plan items... on your list," McCrory said.
Her remarks summarized business and property-owner engagement in a 1,900-acre district and thanked the city for its support; she requested continued attention to master-plan priorities during upcoming budget and CIP deliberations.
