Hampton rolls out Chromebooks; schools report large increases in digital activity

Lawrence said those shifts allow staff to focus classroom time on instruction rather than device management. Council members praised the distribution system and asked whether textbook budgets would shrink; the superintendent said proposed reductions in textbook purchases would be reflected in the upcoming budget presentation to council.
